Inquiries about Renting a Plot for 2012: As of 5/17/12, one plot is available to rent for the 2012 season. If you are interested, fill in the Garden Interest Form (PDF version) and mail to Juneau Community Garden, PO Box 033395, Juneau, AK 99803. Or you can send the relevant information to the garden’s email: juneaucommunitygarden@gmail.com. When a plot becomes available, you will be notified and given a plot number; only then should you mail in an application form with money.
2012 Plot Application Form (PDF version)- Use this application form to rent a 10’ x 20’ plot in the Juneau Community Garden for 2012. The Operating Rules, below, outline the applicant’s responsibilities. Each plot costs $35 and requires five hours of community service. The second page of the application lists various suggestions for community service hours. The fee of $35 per plot, payable to Juneau Community Garden, must accompany the application. Feb. 1, 2012 was the deadline for current garden members to pay for any unworked service hours ($20 per hour) and to submit application and payment for their 2012 plots.
Operating Rules (PDF version)- Revised April 15, 2011, these rules contain valuable information on use of community garden tools, maintaining the plot, pathways, structures, seeds and weeds, and other important information. An orientation to garden rules and resources is REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW GARDEN MEMBERS. For new members who were unable to attend the April 26, 2012 orientation, please request an individual orientation by sending an email to juneaucommunitygarden@gmail.com.
June 15 is the deadline for current members to start work on their plots. Unworked plots will be reassigned, so more plots may become available at that time.
